Answer

Materials may be renewed two (2) times as long as there are no outstanding holds.

Materials may be renewed online via the library catalog. Just log in, choose "My Account", select the "Checkouts" tab, select the items you wish to renew, and then click on "Renew."

A Telephone Renewal Service is also available at 619-236-5800 or 858-484-4440 (toll free from the North County): press 1 (for touch-tone phone), then press 2 to renew Library materials.

Materials may also be renewed in person at any Library location.

  1. The "renew" select button now has a cursor attached to it and will not make a selection.

  2. This is a known bug in how iOS Safari's rendering engine handles the catalog website. While a fix is being worked on, I recommend using the SDPL To Go app (http://sandiego.boopsie.com/), which has a more mobile-friendly interface and also allows renewals.

  3. Perhaps you should hire the folks who did the County's web; it works, quite well.
